Could CBD be an answer to Alzheimer’s?
According to recent research shared by Norml.org, there is significant pre-clinical data that CBD may provide a "Comprehensive Treatment Approach" to Alzheimer's Disease.
Published in the Alzheimer's Research and Therapy journal, Spanish researchers from Madrid have been studying the use of CBD in the treatment of Alzheimer's and have found that it is neuroprotective and is associated with improved memory during pre-clinical models. Assessing the impact of CBD in in vitro and in vivo models of AD, they reported that CBD reduces neuroinflammation, reduces the build-up of proteins associated with the onset of AD, significantly improves long-term and short-term spatial memory, and promotes neuronal repair and regeneration. These findings may show that CBD can be a valuable treatment for AD and could be significant to continue with further clinical studies.
